Slainte!
Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this weekend?
A huge part of Irish tradition, the delicious stouts, ales and lagers of Ireland have become staple items at most St. Patrick’s Day celebrations around the world.
Here are a couple of beers that will bring out the Irish in everyone!
Guinness Draught – The milkshake of beers, Guinness is a “meal in itself”. The rich and creamy beer is an Irish’s favourite. Fun fact, according to Guinness experts, they say that the ‘perfect pint” of Guinness should take about 119.53 seconds to pour.
Murphy’s Irish Stout – This beer is considered a light stout, meaning you can probably drink more than one, unlike Guinness, which is more on the heavy side. Think chocolate milk topped with a double shot of espresso and finished with a one-inch thick head of caramel-infused creamy goodness.
Smithwick’s Irish Ale – One of the oldest beers around, it dates back to the fourteenth century when monks would brew their own. Smithwick’s is Ireland’s oldest operating brewery.
Kilkenny Cream Ale – The taste of the beer can be compared to Smithwick’s but less hops with a creamy head like Guinness. The amber beer has a rich aroma and flavour of toasted malt.
Harp Lager – Light in colour and refreshing in flavour. It’s a highly-favoured European-style lager with a smooth and sharp finish.
Innoocente Inn O’Slainte Irish Red Ale – This is a deep amber in colour with aromas of coffee, toasted nuts with orange zest and spice.
Beau’s Strong Patrick – This beer is an Irish-style red ale. Rich and malty and is partially aged in Irish whiskey casks. It is a bit bitter with a hint of sweetness of malt.
So this weekend, raise a glass to St. Patrick’s Day, cause everyone is Irish on this day!
What is your stance on green beer for St. Patrick’s??

It was fun when I was 19. But now, can’t stand it. There’s no need for it. And even the Irish refuse to do it. Haha
